I am asking for your support of my Ski-A-Thon fundraiser benefiting Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation.
For nearly forty years, Maine Adaptive has been an important part of my life. I began as a winter ski and snowshoe participant and volunteer, and over time have had the privilege of serving as a clinician and as a member of the Board of Directors for twenty-six years. As the organization expanded into year-round programming, I have also volunteered at cycling and kayaking events, and for the past twenty-three years have worked at both winter and summer specialty camps that provide disabled veterans and their families the opportunity to recreate together. I currently serve on the Veterans / No Boundaries Committee and the Volunteer Advisory Council.
Maine Adaptive’s mission goes far beyond offering recreational opportunities. Through adaptive skiing, snowshoeing, cycling, kayaking, and other programs, the organization empowers individuals with disabilities to experience independence, challenge themselves physically, and build confidence in working and recreating alongside people of all abilities. The environment fosters inclusion, resilience, and community in ways that are both practical and transformative.
Your contribution directly supports:
Every gift, regardless of size, helps ensure that these life-changing programs remain accessible to those who need them.
If you are able, I ask that you consider making a donation to my Ski-A-Thon fundraising team - Cuddy's Cutups. The team name honors a longterm volunteer, instructor, board member and a very ggod friend who has passed. Please share this effort with others who may wish to help. Your support sustains an organization that has given so much to so many — myself included.
Thank you for your consideration and for helping to advance this important work.
With appreciation,
Glenn
