Skiing with Maine Adaptive is Alex's passion. Alex has shared, "I'm going skiing at Sunday River!" with countless friends and strangers in all seasons of the year. The competence she has learned through skiing is essential to how she approaches the world - with with confidence and joy. After everything the program has contributed to Alex, we ask for your help to perpetuate that confidence and joy for even more participants.
A disability in the family often impacts earning capacity. Ordinary activities require extra time, planning, equipment and, for a child, added supervision, and it's hard to find the resources to allow full-time work outside the home. As a parent, I could not have supported Alex's participation when she started with Maine Adaptive if it wasn't free.
